Hi, I'm Paola — and I'm so glad you found your way here.

A few things about me…

I was born and raised in Naples, Italy (my name is pronounced Pow-la — the Italian equivalent of Paula, though I answer to both). In 2023, my husband and I packed up our lives and moved to Colorado, fulfilling a dream we'd held for years. We ski every chance we get, spend our springs and summers hiking with our Bernese mountain dog Sven, and when the mountains give us a quiet evening, you'll find me with my headphones on, lost in an audiobook. I have a deep love for English literature — from Dickens and Trollope to the gentler worlds of D.E. Stevenson and James Herriot.

Life here is full, and beautiful, and I am grateful for every bit of it.

Why I do this

Growing up in Italy, I spent years wandering through historical villas, royal palaces, and ancient ruins. What struck me — across centuries and civilizations — was how consistently people had covered their walls with portraits. A fresco in Pompeii. An old master painting in a gilded frame. No matter the era, that impulse remained the same: to preserve the people we love, in a form worthy of them.

That reverence for the handcrafted and the timeless is what drives me. We live in a world overflowing with images, yet so few are ever made with true intention. My work exists to change that — to create portraits that don't live on a phone screen, but on your walls, in your home, for generations to come.

How I work

I only accept a limited number of sessions each year — by design. Every client deserves my full attention, from our very first conversation to the moment you hang your portrait on the wall. Before we ever pick up a camera, we meet in person. I want to hear your story, understand your vision, and make sure that everything we create together is truly, entirely yours.

That consultation is not a formality. It's where everything begins.

My promise

You will feel seen and heard from the moment we meet.

You will never feel rushed, pressured, or steered toward something that isn't right for you.

And the portraits we create will not follow a trend — they will follow you, your story, and who you are.

That is something I take personally, every single time.
